Automatic domain

Every web service gets <service>-<environment>-<suffix>.kapapra.com, with an HTTPS certificate.

Custom domain

In Settings → Networking (Public Networking), add your domain, then create the DNS records shown:

• proof of ownership: a TXT record _kapapra-verify.<your domain> with the value shown. The domain is neither routed nor reserved before it is verified; keep the record: it is checked again every week, and a domain whose record stays missing for 7 days stops being routed (you are notified first);
• subdomain (www.example.com, app.example.com): a CNAME to the target shown;
• apex domain (example.com): A records to the addresses shown (a CNAME is not allowed there).

“Verify” compares your DNS with the expected target and shows what it found. The HTTPS certificate is issued automatically once the DNS is in place (a few minutes, depending on propagation).
